Sue Regis - Owner and Founder of Sue Regis Glass Art
Sue Regis started working with glass when she was 17 years old. She is the sole proprietor of Regis Glass Art since 2005 located in the heart of a booming downtown Joliet, Illinois. Sue's speciality glass work is focused around Memorial glass art in which she can encase pet or human cremains inside of glass. She also specializes in teaching and hosting group events for adults and kids alike.
In 2020 Sue Regis Glass was Honored as an Illinois Maker for #IllinoisMadeby Enjoy Illinois Department of Tourism
As an Art influencer and an Art leader, Sue's footprint expands outside of Regis Glass Art. The Art Movement Inc, founded in 2017 is Sue Regis' first non-profit endeavor igniting the Arts in Joliet and initiating a cultural renaissance. In addition Sue Regis also serves as a Commissioner on Joliet's newly coordinated City Arts Commission. Sue is a dynamic Artist and through all of her success, a pivotal leader.
Old Joliet Prison Burnt District Artists
Sue Regis also serves as the Visual Arts subcommittee Chair on the Old Joliet Prison Coalition. Sue put together the Old Joliet Prison Burnt District Artists in 2018 and since then has been successful in the repurposing and historic preservation of one of Illinois most admired landmarks - the Old Joliet Prison located right off Rt. 66.
